The two main categories of student visa under Tier 4 of the points based system have requirements that must be fully met in order to qualify for the visa. Under both categories the applicant must have a total of 40 points, 30 from the valid Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CaS) for a license approved sponsor and 10 points for maintenance or funds which demonstrate that the applicant has adequate funds to cover course fees and living costs.
